We are so much safer since the war on terror began. Some liberals seem to think the way to get through to these people is to sit down and have a cup of tea with them. That's not possible. We have to face facts. These people don't think like us, and they want to destroy us. We can't pretend that they will someday understand us, just as we cannot understand them. Nobody wants to relive September 11. How are we supposed to prevent an attack if we don't prevent them from coming to us?
Yes, the war has gone on for several years. But we can't simply put a cap on reclaiming our freedom because we get bored. We need to remember that we are fighting this war for a reason. Saddam Hussein was a perpetrator of a genocide. Since he's been gone, the world has been a better place. We need to remember that we are fighting this war for his victims. We can't abandon them now.
