Argument in favor of Withdraw our troops now
Victory is impossible
Rating: 3
President Bush noted that he no longer enjoys a game of golf because he worries about what the families of dead soldiers would saw think if they saw him playing on TV. I would guess that the feelings associated with watching their president play golf can hardly compare to the emotions they felt when they lost a family member. The United States is engaged in a frivolous war that appears to be about nothing. Bush calls this war part of a global War on Terror. How can a war be waged on an abstract concept? This idea is much like having a "War on Hate." We cannot achieve any sort of victory because there is no standard against which we can measure success. It is impossible to wipe out terrorism, and trying has and will only lead to increased violence.
