Argument against Hillary Clinton
It's not about her
Rating: 2
In the beginning, it baffled me why people were so adamently opposed to Hillary Clinton. She stands for all the right things, and while her personality is a bit grating, we all know what happens when we elect a president based on with whom we'd like to have a beer. When I saw the first Democratic debate last summer, I saw Hillary Clinton as competent, and really presidential material.
Now, it is clear that she will not win the Democratic nomination. And the more the race drags on, the more she is showing herself to be a sore loser, and injurious to her party. She is trying to change the rules--rules she agreed to--midway through, by counting the primaries in Michigan and Florida, and eliminating caucus states. Her arguments are inconsistent and demonstrate that she doesn't care about the democratic process, only a Machiavellian desire to win in the end. Comments like those about Robert Kennedy's assasination show that she hopes to win by any means possible. It's not about her--it's about the party. None of us want another Bush term.
