Financing as it stands today moves political decisions out of the hands of voters and their elected officials and into the hands of the wealthy and of large corporation. All voices should be heard, not only those powered by money.

Position: Finance Restrictions Violate Free Speech

Under the First Amendment, citizens have the right to speak and advocate on behalf of their opinions. Limiting financial contributions would violate that right by limiting people’s ability to fight for their beliefs.
