Give Illegal Immigrants a path to obtaining citizenship. (don't ban them from becoming citizens) Allow guest worker programs, and strengthen border security.

Position: Remove and ban all illegal immigrants.

Send illegal immigrants back to their home countries and ban them from ever returning (legally).

Position: Open the floodgates.

All all immigrants to stay in the United States for any reason.

Obviously, the issue of illegal immigrants is very complicated. But there seems to be some sort of underlying notion that Americans deserve to be here, while everyone else doesn't. We were all immigrants at one time or another. But some of us worked hard to attain citizenship, while others took the easy route and came illegally. Native Americans as separate tribes of people were here before us but they were also immigrants at one time. None of the original native Americans are still alive.
